>From what I've seen, Western Kentucky is a very good basketball team. I believe that is one of our losses. WKY took an excellent Tennessee team to the limit in December. The other loss is to Creighton right? I think the Huskers are getting better.

My prediction is that the Huskers will improve all season long, and we will garner our very first ever NCAA tournament win. We will be a 5 seed in March and we will beat Dayton 65 - 58 in the first round of the NCAA tourney, and will be bounced soundly out of the tourney in the 2nd round by Arizona.

  How's that for specific predictions?

Danny Nee once said that he had the greatest coaching job in America,
because nobody even knew he was alive until January.

That must include the voters, because 11-2 Nebraska has zero points in
both polls. (I think they briefly had a point in one of the polls right
after the Oregon win but dropped off the radar screen again a week later.)

Maybe they'll make some noise once the conference season starts, but
according to http://kenpom.com/rpi.php right now they've got an RPI that
puts them at #144 and a SOS of #332.

With 2 games against #3 Kansas in the next 3 weeks, plus games this month
against Baylor (#66 on the RPI list), Colorado (#154) and Missouri (#104),
it should be pretty clear by the end of January whether that 11-2 record
means much.
