     I am a little surprised there hasn't been more basketball conversation
here than there has been. The season is into its third month and the men
Huskers have a 11-2 record (13-2 if you count the exhibition games). I
understand they haven't had the toughest non-conference schedule to say the
least but they are very competitive. I have always said in my opinion one
thing Pederson did indeed do right is hire Doc Sadler. We'll find out more
this coming Saturday night when they open the Big 12 with Kansas. What is
really unfortunate to have to play them at this time is Kansas is arguably
the best team in the Nation.  So, we go from playing lesser teams in the
non-conference schedule and go right to the big one.  If the Huskers could
just play them close or maybe pull off the upset it would certainly set the
course for Sadler's team. NU has a history of playing KU tough at Devaney.
The game will also be on ESPN at 8:00 CST.
