I believe we have a quality staff that will put the Husker Program on a
firm footing and move it in the right direction. There is a BIG
difference between having a quality staff in place and adding one
coordinator to the mix like Texas did and having a poor staff in place
and having to replace 6 or 7 coaches. The comparisons we should be
making is the actions of mr. pederson in dismantling a program that had
been adjusted and appeared to be moving in the right direction with the
actions forced on Dr. Osborne in rebuilding that dismantled program. It
may be premature to make a definitive judgment. However I am way more
comfortable with the direction we are headed now compared to the
direction that the Pederson/Callahan/Cosgrove were preparing to take us
4 years ago.
