If you don't agree with me that is fine. But, just because
someone doesn't see it the way you do in no way makes their
opinion absurd. Do you honestly believe Pavan said anything
Cook and team members didn't know already? I doubt very
seriously this was a bombshell in which no one could believe
what she said because it was so far out. In all the follow up I
haven't read or heard one comment saying Pavan was wrong in
her assessment not even Cook himself.

I stand by my comment that if all there was to it was Pavan's
comments then not allowing her to have contact with the team
or facilities in any form is a little extreme. In the first place I
didn's see that what she said was all that inflammatory or
accusatory. I took it more as a telling it like it is situation. I
doubt NU has ever had a team in any sport ever in history that
all team members just absolutely loved each other. In the
second place you are not just talking your average yahoo here.
This is the most decorated female athlete in the history of NU
sports. No one else is even close. If she was a football player
she would be right up there with Crouch, Frazier, Rodgers,
Rozier, and the like. Not only that she compiled a 4.0 in Bio
Chemistry. That to me is much more impressive than anything
she ever did on the volleyball court. Along with that she was a
credit to her team, her university, and her community. Unless
there is more to it than has been made public the punishment
doesn't seem to fit the crime.

I just wonder if Eric Crouch would say not everyone on the
team liked him and at times he felt alone if we would say he
should banned from any contact with the football program? I
sincerely doubt it

And yes, there are many times in life where what someone
says is vastly different than what someone does and should be
taken as such. We have all heard the saying "it is not enough to
talk the talk you also have to walk the walk". In my old Sunday
School class when I was a kid it was worded, "what you are
speaks so loud the world can't hear what you say". That saying
is slightly different than what happened at NU but is does say
speech and actions many times can be two different things.
