I would say that "must win" depends on what you are playing for. Are you talking about going to the NCAA tourney? Then for NU I would say the only must wins left are in the Big XII tourney, winning that is really the only way they get in.

Are you talking getting enough wins to make the NIT? Then I am not sure which games are must wins. Maybe all of the regular season and a win or two in the Big XII tourney?

Are you talking about the team building enough confidence to carry over to next year? Then yeah the rest of the games are probably "must wins". Winning out and making a decent showing in the Big XII tourney and maybe making the NIT and winning a game or two there gives the young kids a good feeling about themselves and probably makes them work a little harder this off season which in turn carries over to next year.

For a game to be a "must win" I think you have to define what you are really playing for.

The Husker men's hoops team plays at Iowa State this afternoon. It
will be a tough game. It doesn't seem to make a lot of difference what
kind of team Iowa State has they seem to play the Huskers well in Ames.
Steve Sipple on "The Spread" this week said the rest of the games for
NU are pretty much must wins. I don't want to get into a debate again
over what constitutes a "must win" but suffice to say it is important the
Huskers play well the rest of the way.
