This is just my opinion but I do think you will see interest in basketball pick up in the next few years. I think Doc is the man to spring NU basketball into being a big deal in the Big XII. If the bball team starts winning and goes to the NCAA tourney on a regular basis you will see interest pick up dramaticly. Until then NU will continue to be a "football" school. Being an assistant high school coach I would love to see NU bball do well.

I have seen the list over the years go dead for pockets of time. This
list while technically a Husker sports list is really a Husker football list.
There really isn't that much going on in football right now other than
recruits being signed. The recruits have been previously discussed.
I am constantly surprised at the disinterest in Husker men's
basketball. I realize they aren't having a very good conference season,
they lost to K-State last night, but the football team didn't exactly have a
stellar year in 2007 either and there were plenty of comments about it.
Anyway what is is what is but I think the lack of football news right
now is the reason the list is dead.
