[Husker] Why is Clemson favored?

Skylar,

Your opinion of my analysis is appreciated. I'll add a couple of thoughts
on the area that you disagree...only to clarify.

Ball control is ball control...whether from effective RUSHing where the
clock runs more; or from PASSing where short yard gains keep the train on
the track while the clock keeps ticking. The Big Red philosophy this year
has been to use the entire arsenal of weapons, whether by air or land. Keep
the other guys off the field. Here, we completely agree.
____
On the other side of the coin, you bring up that Clemson has NOT A CHANCE to
win a shootout. I agree. However, this game won't resemble a shoot out.
It'll be bitterly fought in the trenches mano-a-mano.

I think Clemson's 'not very good offensive' matches well with the
Blackshirt's 'not very good defense'

In summary, the winner will have effectively RUSHed more effectively. 'Tis
also likely that the winner will also have had fewer TO's, less penalties
and more hidden return yards.

Go Big Red!

Steve, I like your post except this part:

>> Huskers O
>> Tigers D...	Yes, Ganz is usually very composed, but Watson should
>> would do well to put in a game plan that emphasizes running (65~70%)
>> / ball control.

I completely disagree with this. We've used the ball control game all year
because we wanted to keep the top-10 offense on the other side of the field
on the sidelines. No matter how you look at it, Clemson's offense is just
plain not very good. I think we should try to score quick and often because
there is NO WAY they're going to win a shootout with us. NOT A CHANCE.

Other than that, good analysis. :)
