[Husker] Staying Put

Wow you sure are full of optimism aren't you. Dont come back Turner because we will fire you. Ya maybe he hadn't proven much at Buffalo compared to this year but he had won more games in two years then they had in something like the previous ten combined. That in itself says something. And what had Bo proven at that point?

Dont get me wrong Bo was my second choice and I am supporting him like crazy. He is doing a fantastic job and I believe he will continue to do so but to say Turner wasn't or isn't ready to be the Head coach at NU is crazy.

The insinuation here is that we missed hiring a potentially great coach for
Nebraska.

I am happy right now with where we are with Pelini. If Gill some day becomes
greater than Bryant, more power to him. He'll always be a Husker.

By last year, he hadn't proven anything yet. Now he has. There's still
a part of me that hopes he never comes back because I'd hate watching us
fire him, as is the end to the vast majority of football coaches these days.

He seems to have a pretty good staff with him. Even if he slides backwards a
couple of steps next year (say to 5-7 or 4-8) people will still say "well
it is Buffalo and look where there were before he got there". He wont be
judged on that one year it will be more this year that he gets judged on. If he
continues (which I believe he will) to turn the corner out there in Buffalo then
he will be even more wanted at the bigger schools.

Buffalo and that he wasn't really doing that great of a job up there and he
wasn't ready to coach a big time football program are enjoying the crow you
are now eating. Tastey huh.
