also, the ACC, though they did start slow and the SEC has two power houses in Florida and Alabama, the rest of the SEC has been average at best this year as it played out. As a whole, the ACC is 6-4 against the SEC in 2008.
as a whole, I think Clemson and Nebraska have a lot of similar story lines with new coaches, hot teams at the end of the year, a New Year's Day Bowl, fans getting back behind their teams for a a big future.
should be fun.

It's hard to figure NU as the #4 or #5 team from the Big 12. It seems
as if the on-field results would make NU the #6 team in the Big 12 and
NU lost at home to its ACC opponent.
NU may not be favored against Clemson. Sagarin has Clemson at #19 with
an 82.58 predictor and NU #28 with a 79.35 predictor. That would make
Clemson a 3pt favorite on a neutral field and they could have a plurality
of the crowd behind them. Other computer rankings have NU ahead of
Clemson, but most rank NU in the high 20s and Clemson in the high 20s
or low thirties. Another one of the best rankings has NU #23 and
Clemson #24, but MOV NU is #19 and Clemson is #30.
It seems like a good matchup and the game likely will sell out.
