[Husker] State of the List

I just got caught up again after having piled up about two weeks' worth
of Digests in the Inbox...
The List traffic being down prior to the first game...there are SO many
competing outlets for sports info online that simply weren't there a few
years ago (duh) :-) That's what I chalk some of it up to.
Bob leaves again...I enjoy Bob's posts but there's sometimes way too
much edginess or condescension--intentionally or otherwise--for me to
handle. So I just scroll on by. (I do share the Cardinals' fan thing
with him, though.) IIRC the last time he came back his tone had
softened noticeably, and we can only hope for a repeat performance
:-) An ego like that won't be gone for long.
I think we'll win, but probably only by 14 points. I think Bo will be
using as many players as possible to see who performs and who doesn't.
We had Jason Peter in town a few weeks ago for the annual "Kansas
Cornhusker" picnic. What a great talk he gave. The book's pretty
illuminating, too, though definitely R-rated. Someone on the List
previously echoed JP's main point for this year's team (at least on D):
Attitude. The old ways will have to be literally forced out of the
players. No more Mr. Niceguy. They'll have to EARN the Blackshirts--the
way it used to be BC.
