Why are my feelings erroneous and other people's feelings are
not? I think if you go back and read through these walk on posts you
will find I presented really nothing as fact. Before you say "I know, I
know" I didn't intend to. I just wanted to present some questions and
say how I leaned. People are presenting to me the "fact" that TO said
this or TO said that and the walk on program has provided this or that.
Again, I have never said the walk on program hasn't been
beneficial both for the program and the student/athlete. There is more
than ample evidence it indeed has been both. I merely posed the
question is it/was it necessary for the success of the team strictly
talking wins and losses or not both past and present? There really is
no way to prove it one way or the other because we did have it. One can
point to certain years where walk ons contributed more than others but
is that the thing that made the difference? I really don't know. I'm
just posing the question for thought.
That, and when someone stated something I just asked if there was
substantiation. If there is then fine. But, I am not going to take it
as fact just because someone posts it. One thing to remember, no one's
feelings are incorrect just because they don't jive with the feelings of
someone else.
There are two things I have learned over the years on this list.
One is you do not ever question if the Husker fans are the greatest in
the history of mankind without the wrath of the list upon you. The
other thing is you just do not ever ever ever disagree with or question
Tom Osborne. That is a Cardinal Sin of the highest degree. It may
border on being an unforgivable sin.
One thing you will have to admit, this list was pretty dead until
this thread started. I still find it a little interesting is we are in
game week one of the Pelini regime and there is no discussion of the
game. There is just discussion about how wrong Bob is.

I agree totally.
