Nice story, Steve.  Thanks.

I does kind of make you wonder if, during the Callahan blip (I refuse
to call it an era, though error kind of sums it up), other kids were
simply ignored rather than at least given an assessment.  I don't
believe Callahan was ignorant of talent, but it does seem he didn't
treat former players and prospective players with as much respect as
you would hope.  Maybe Nebraska wouldn't have offered a scholarship to
Londen, but maybe he might have been invited to walk on, and see how
he would do.  Maybe he would have taken that offer, and perhaps he
might be playing in red this weekend.  See, just another way the
walk-on program, as it was under Osborn, might have helped the team
but was unable to under Callahan's cuts.
