Now that Tom Osborne has hand picked a new coach, what will happen if
Coach Pelini struggles as Coach Callahan had? It is now Tom Osborne's
legacy on the line, as well as Coach Pelini's future. How patient will
the Husker nation being this time around?

The next few seasons are going to very interesting.

As a former Husker athlete (I swam, but I believe this is still applies
to all sports), there is a pride that I never got from the other swimmers
in the conference. I realize that everyone wants to win, but now a days,
most want to go pro as soon as possible. There are those types of players
coming to Nebraska, but after being in the program you begin to see
things differently.

Being a Husker and living up to the expectations of your fellow and past
Huskers begins to change you. Even those out of state guys begin are
changed by the fellowship and sense of family that being a Husker means.
The may article by a former walk on speaks to this.

While Nebraska may have a loosing season this year, I personally believe
that Coach Pelini will have the team more ready than most are expecting.
Nebraska will make a solid run for the North, and may pull some upsets to
win it.

All the preseason speculation at what team will place where is just
looking at talent on the team. But is does not take into account a
player's heart.

As I said, the next few seasons are going to be very interesting.
