I think the changes made when Peedy took over the Department did away
with a lot of the ability of the media and fans to see practices.  I
know the media contract is so restrictive that other radio stations in
Nebraska don't have access to the coaches or to practice.  Maybe our
media expert can chime in on that issue, but it seems to me that we
haven't been getting those types of reports because nobody has access
to the practices anymore.  Callahan closed practices to the public,
and the media was only allowed in on special days.  I haven't seen any
indication that that's changed.

I too miss them.  I also miss the breakdown of the offense that was
presented before we went west with the offense.  And after that, as
Callahan told us, it was just too technical for us.  But we do have
news to discuss.  A major loss today was the dismissal from the team
of a promising defensive linemen for two marijuana citations.  I mean,
even Ricky Williams is playing again.  (how's that for discussion
fodder?)
