[Husker] Huskers Prospects in NFL Draft

They mostly make it up... hell, they do all this evaluation stuff, and
then the NFL guys still make the most bone-headed picks - it's
unbelievable.

I did a piece on Huskers in the draft a couple days ago, just using a
couple mock drafts. I can understand why these guys do the mock drafts
- if you're a NFL fan they can be entertaining. They shouldn't be
taken too seriously, but all in fun.

If you look at the guys who are going into the draft... well, to be
blunt, they're not that impressive. Maybe they'll end up with a decent
NFL career, but they're going to have to work for it.

Carl Nicks bounced around a lot so he didn't really establish a long
track record with any one team.
Zach Bowman blew both knees out.
Sam Keller... isn't the pro prospect he was made out to be and
pictures of him as a party boy showing up around the Internet around
going to help him.
Maurice Purify - potentially decent, but was sloppy running routes and
has 'character' issues, which is the NFL buzz word for "He might
embarrass us".

The other one that barely gets a mention is Bo Ruud. He faces an
uphill battle, but everyone said Barrett was too slow to play in the
NFL and he's starting at Tampa Bay, so you never know.

The other thing is last year's defense. It was so lost that none of
those NFL guys will get anything but a bad feeling from it, putting
anyone Husker at a disadvantage.
