I'm going to let this go now before I officially become the 'doom and  
gloom' guy. Hell, maybe it's too late.

Besides the two you mentioned, Larry Asante, Major Culbert, Ricky  
Thenarse, Prince Amukamara - we have some pretty decent guys coming  
back in the secondary,  but again, not a huge amount of experience  
combined with learning a new system, new coaches. It takes time to get  
this stuff in place.

Never said the defense won't be better, but that isn't saying much, is  
it? Even if we make huge improvements on defense, we'll probably be  
around the middle of the pack, probably around the 50th best defense  
in the nation.

Bowman.... Bowman was a good corner. Why he didn't play much,... I can  
only speculate that Cosgrove or Callahan shoved their heads up their  
collective ass and kept trying different guys to see if something  
would change. That's kind of a damned shame. I hope he has a good NFL  
career.
