[Husker] Husker Football Predictions for Next Season

Well, if you're really going to put things in perspective you have to
include '67 and '68 when Devaney went 6-4. The beat downs at the
hands of Bear Bryant and Alabama. Then the 47-0 ass-kicking by Oklahoma.

This year, no linebackers, not much experience in the secondary. Next
year, we'll lose seven of eight experienced defensive linemen. When
combined with the fact that we only picked up one DT in this year's
recruiting class, it's going to take some time to build this team back
into a regular contender. Those are the facts. It's hard to believe
that we're going to consistently win nine games a year. If that's the
standard, it's as if it's a set up to failure. Missouri, Colorado,
they're not going to stand still, especially that Hawkins guy at
Colorado.

Be honest.... Would Pelini survive that now? I would hope so. But the
bar is too high. Don't you think it's unrealistic?
