     It is a hard question to answer because at the time Pederson was fired 
there were still five games left on the schedule.  If somehow he could have 
seen ahead as to what would happen and want Callahan fired he may have saved 
his job.  But it is a moot point because at the point Pederson was fired 
there is no way one could make a statement, at least on Callahan, one way or 
another.
