     I assume you know what "wailing" means so I won't deal with that.  A modern English dictionary, Webster's New Universal Unabridged Dictionary,  defines gnashing of teeth as follows:  "to grind or strike the teeth together, a grinding or grating together of the teeth in rage or anguish."

       I certainly want the Huskers to win but based on fans I don't know that NU deserves a championship team any more than do a lot of schools.  I see a lot of negativity in Huskerland these days.  I talk to, read, and listen to, a lot of people that want Cosgrove's head on a platter.  Looking down the rest of the schedule I don't see one game where one could just say "that's a win".  If the defense doesn't get better soon I expect this is just the beginning of negativity.
