I'm sure there are plenty of great DCs waiting to be discovered. All you have to do is see the potential.
Pellini was a LB coach with the Green Bay Packers when he was hired to come to Nebraska. That had to hurt him (in addition to some other things) when being considered for Head Coach. He'd only had one year at the coordinator level, the rest of his career was as a position coach. Hence it's difficult to say he could run an entire program.

I know Marvin Sanders is available. He had received a nice extension
from UNC (until 2009) and stayed to help the transition to Butch Davis.
I would love to have seen Bo stay, at least to the end of his contract
(1 year) and groom Sanders to take over.
If you did something mid season, he might be the best choice, though I
think better ones will be available at the end of the season.
