The defense bailed us out a couple times in the end (although Grixby got
away with a rather obvious pass interference on that last call).  I'm more
concerned with how bad the offense looked today.  There were a lot of
dropped passes, overthrown passes and bad turnovers.

 

Keller looked great at times, but not-so-great for most of the game.  I hope
he'll have most of the rust worked out by next week, but we'll see.

They might not have needed the film, but they found a weakness in our
defense.  Our black shirts got embarrassed big time and I am not sure if it
had more to do with strength and fundamentals than anything else.  The
offense seems to be taking baby-steps towards cohesion, something resembling
a football program.

 

What I don't believe is that Nebraska doesn't have any talent; it is what we
do with that talent.  What I have seen so far this year are young men trying
very hard to win but I don't think there true potential has been tapped.  I
think that is why we pay adults to coach them, not only academically but
physically and mentally.  I don't know if our program is up to snuff
anymore, I don't wander the halls and check on them-my only grade card is
graduation day and game day.
