Maybe you misunderstood me.  I'm not wanting to punish the players or the coaches.  I just think that there is a lot of pride in earning the Blackshirt.  If the coaches and players all feel that the defense had a bad game, maybe they need some incentive.  Sometimes it is a good teaching method to have rewards for a job well done.   I think it worked for Bo Pelini's players.  It might also work for Cosgrove.

Believe it or not, but I think this could be one of the most talented group of defensive players the Huskers have had in awhile.  The LBs and Secondary are exceptional.  The DL seems to have a lot of raw talent, if not experience.  I just don't see the fire that should be there.  

Cosgrove seems to be a good coach for X's and O's.  As I said in one of my earlier posts, it seems like the right call was made on most of the plays.  I'm losing faith in him as a motivator, though.   I think he has them "thinking" too much on the field, rather than playing with reckless abandon (necessary for the DL and LB's at times).

  Well then take the coaches salary's away too till things are better.... My nephew is Bo Ruud and I know how he can play, ( and it been not like him this whole start of the season.. but last year you all loved him and the other guys, could it be a bit of both not getting coached and maybe some of the players don't  have there heads on.
  .( for some of the players its not them but what is being told to them...)  

   Some of these players are still learning I think that is what college ball is about they are not NFL player who don't need to be taught skills  and coached, NFL players just learn the new plays of the team and how to work with that and their talent..very sad if that is not the case for the money they get paid, funny here at college it the staff making millions for what.. and those guys are out there because they like the sport and hope to go on in the NFL... they are not there for millions.. god hope some are doing ok in school for most don't get in to the NFL.
