This point is so minor it's just a quibble, nothing more.
Frost's motion began when he cocked the ball under his right ear,
after which he propelled it with an arm motion that seemed to lack
height, hence the frequent but erroneous reference to "shot-put"
passing.
Keller doesn't cock the ball at all but holds it at lower rib height,
then throws it with a single continuous overhand slinging motion - -
again, seeming to lack a little in height.
In either case, the vital point is not how a pass originates but how
it terminates, as Frost proved to Texas A&M in the Big XII
Championship game and to Tennessee at what turned out to be a
National Championship game.
We must hope that Keller's results match Frost's.
