Actually only one thing has to happen, and that is that NU has to outscore USC. If they do that they will win no matter what else happens in the game.

     I certainly believe they have earned the respect they're given.  Over the last years they have been right there.  That demands a "little" respect.

      Typically good recruiting will result in good teams.  Maybe not championship teams every year but if you recruit well more years than not you will be good to very good.

     Of course not.  No one in the history of college football has ever been invincible.  They can be beaten Saturday night.  But there have to be certain things happen for that to happen.  One is NU is going to have to play better than anything I have seen this year so far from them.  They are going to have to play a nearly perfect game.  And, coupled with that USC is going to have to be off, make some mistakes, and turn the ball over and even then it could be close.  If both teams play to the best of their ability NU loses by 2-3 touchdowns or more.
