[Husker] Preliminary Impressions

I just got back from North Carolina and I am WAY too tired to look at all my emails right now, but I will say that being at the game I agree with these points. To me, the coaches took a chance by almost giving this game away while making sure USC has nothing to look at in the game film. The doom and gloom predictions are off base as I see it. It appeared the coaches opened about 3 pages of a 50 page play book for this game.
The USC game will be MUCH closer than people think.

I haven't had time or opportunity to review the recording of the
game, so no one should take these remarks seriously. :-)
1) It seemed to me that the game was basically a passing scrimmage
(against strangers) that followed last week's running scrimmage. Only
on occasion did it seem that the Huskers were actually playing a game.
2) I saw nothing new and/or unusual on either offense or defense. But
perhaps I missed something. Callahan and company were playing their
cards quite close to the vest, no doubt with USC in mind.
3) I wouldn't be the least surprised to see Callahan pulling out all
stops on both sides of the ball next Saturday.
