Joba pitched another 2 scoreless innings tonight against the K.C. Royals and
preserved the 3-2 lead for the 7th and the 8th (What a 1-2 punch that is).

 

More interestingly, tonight he faced Alex Gordon for the first time of what
I guess will be many.  The two Lincoln natives went after it until Alex took
a 97-mph at the shoulders and dropped in front of the left fielder for his
2nd hit of the night.

 

Joba still did his job, though (throwing over to 1st about 5 times with Alex
on) and pitched 2 scoreless innings:
