your mind and that is that. So I guess I'll practice my typing skills.

Fair enough. Not fair to tell you what you can or cannot say. I think if
you asked 100 'experts' 90-95 of them would say Nevada's a better team (#75
vs #145 on Sagarin, for instance).

>>>> I am not sure what you call dominate. To me 38-10 is pretty good
domination. I looked at the stats and while USC didn't put up eye popping
numbers they were very good numbers such as 420 yards total offense.

Well, USC outyarded Idaho 420 - 253. Not bad, USC was 66% better on total
yards and 380% better on points. NU outyarded Nevada 625 - 185. NU was
338% better than Nev on total yards and 520% better on points.

>>>> The thing I don't know is how long the USC first string was in there
either. NU had virtually their first strings in there through three
quarters.

I watched the game and USC had their first string in for pretty much the
entire game. USC really didn't look that good, especially in the 2nd
quarter. As I said originally, I'm sure part of it was just not being up
for a weak opponent. My post was originally only about how we looked
compared to USC, not whether or not we are better than them or if we would
beat them.

Oh well, we've all got opinions :)

I have never been one of those that believe in team A did this against team
B while team C did this against team D therefore that would reflect on team
A versus team D or reflects on the strength of another team.

The fact remains Nevada didn't show a lot of depth. To me that is one
key factor that beat them. It was like the old NU days where you wear them
down and wear them down and then in the second half they wilt. NU is going
to play much better teams than Nevada this year. I don't know if USC would
put up EXACTLY the same offensive and defensive numbers NU did against
Nevada nor do I know if they would score EXACTLY the same amount of points
or more. Suffice to say I doubt USC would have much problem beating them
decisively. And yes, I believe USC has a better team than NU. Until I see
something different I remain with that opinion.

I have also been one over the years that because one team beats another
that means they have a better team. It means they won that game and that
day was their day but it doesn't necessarily mean they have a better team.
I say that because if NU does indeed beat USC people will believe they then
have a better team. NU may have a better team but that has to be proven
over the season and not just because one game was won. With that said I
hope NU kicks the whatever out of USC.

I think I will now do something beside work on my typing.
