Next week... the Appalachian State Mountaineers take on the Lenoir-Rhyne
Bears  --- a long-time rival in the Carolinas. 

Oh, by the way.   Appalachian State is the two-time, defending NCAA Division
1-AA* Champions.     They've been there and done that.  The TEAM was ready
for the Big House, and the Wolverines were not the better team on September
1st.

Better yet... I'll be in the Carolinas next week and one of my associates is
a huge Michigan fan.  Funny thing is... his son attends App St !!!

     I know we have mentioned the Michigan loss today.  But, that loss goes
way beyond just Michigan.  The Big 10 certainly took a hit because Michigan
was favored to win the Big 10.  But, to a degree all of division I-A took a
hit.
