Don't be too hard on Sam. As a former teacher of Journalism, I've 
been following his sportswriting career since he was a wee bonnie lad 
on the Daily Nebraskan. He's made great progress over these past few 
years to become possibly the most informed and insightful 
sportswriters on Husker football in the state. Nobody on the Weird 
Harold or the LSJ holds a candle to him.

I'm reasonably certain he's found a source of solid football 
experience that he can tap into, giving his writing some "heft." He's 
still developing his skills with the intention, I have no doubt, of 
becoming another Loon. We surely could use another!

Sam's still at the redshirt sophomore level, but in time he may well 
become Somebody.
