Thank you Steve for making my point.

I made an offensive "public" statement "Hitler had friends..."
(f-hillbillies) and you drew a conclusion about me. Now would it really
change your mind if some of my friends came on and said what a good guy I
am?

Someone is a good guy because I like him is not a particularly credible
argument.
