Has Nebraska ever been dead last in any critical/major statistical category
ever before?

Even before Murtaugh, Harper, era?  I would not have believed this was even
possible given Nebraska's inherent advantages (Top 5 athletic department
budget in the nation, sold out stadium, not to mention heritage of defensive
excellence) and weak schedule.  If you really think about it is stunning.

BC says he is doing an excellent job in every way.  He's the expert so he
should know.  We couldn't possibly understand.  Anyway, as the expert says,
it's only a loss.  What's the big deal.  (Although the way the staff
approached the game yesterday I think SP's dismissal profoundly jacked up
their sense of urgency.  Amazing what realizing that your family might not
actually be so well taken care of if you keep under performing will do.)

Nebraska football has never faced this kind of adversity before.  What the
!*?%^# is he talking about.  I used to dislike SP.  BC just happened to be
SP's tool.  With his arrogant attitude and disregard for Husker tradition,
I'm starting to genuinely dislike BC.  And, his coaching makes Frank look
like a rocket scientist.  Can't wait for the next game losing fake punt
special.  How excellent!

Zac weighs in on the current staff.  I'd say two things about it: 

 

1)      Zac knows more about this offense/coaches than any of us and he's a
sharp guy and deserves to be listened to.  He makes some great points that
ware worth hearing.  That being said..            

2)      I DON'T agree with keeping the coaching staff around, period.  I
really think Callahan's biggest fault this year was not doing something
about Cosgrove.  His 'buddy' has stunk something aweful this year and he did
nothing about it.  Our defense is 119 of 119 teams against the run and 107
of 119 total d.  E-M-B-A-R-A-S-S-I-N-G
