I don't believe a "Heritage Husker" is the way to go just because of the
tradition that comes with that. Bringing Turner Gill and/or Ron Brown back as
NU's head coach is not going to take this program back to the glory days of the
70's and 90's.

If you've listened to any of the local (Omaha) sports talk radio shows as of
late, they've had various ex-Huskers on-air (Tommie Frazier and Mike Minter).
When either of them have discussed the current state of the program and how
to fix it, it sounds like they are interviewing for the job and want the AD
to make a call and bring them in. Not going to work. Just my impression every
time I hear them speak.

TO should use every ounce of energy he has left in him (and a fat checkbook)
to pursue Bo Pelini. I know this horse has been kicked around, but Pelini is
one of the best options out there that this program may be able to "afford".
I hear talk of the Georgia coach, but in my opinion, either Georgia's not
going to let Mark go anywhere or we're not going to be able to support what he
will be requiring for salary.

I doubt BC has a chance to save his hide and remain at NU, however, I do
think he's doing all he can...it's just a little too late.
