I dont remember Bo putting out any list of people he wanted to be his assistants. I remember reading a lot of post on the internet and some articles in the papers of who people thought might come or who they wanted to come but dont ever remember Bo coming out and saying "this is who I would try to hire as an assistant".

Weren't there rumors four years ago that Pelini wanted
to hire Tom Rathman as his offensive coordinator? 
Just wondering if this is just rehashing of four years
