Everyone seems to have posted a rumor except me. Mine: SP may have
interviewed at Syracuse (third hand, if anyone cares).

They're also in the past, not after any coaching changes that BC might
choose to make in December. After Frank's 7-7 season he brought in a
number of new coaches, including Bo Pelini, and was 9-3 at the point where
he was fired the following November. Somehow I doubt that if Frank and Bo
were both still at Nebraska that they'd be 4-4 today, and I especially
doubt that our defense would be ranked as badly as it is.
It seemed pretty obvious to me that SP, despite being someone who couldn't
make it as a football coach, was determined to place his imprint on the
football program anyway, maybe that's hampered BC's ability to do things
HIS way.
Perhaps Osborne will feel that BC deserves one chance to fix things,
and if so maybe he'll be more honest about recognizing and rewarding
genuine improvement than SP was.
BTW, if people haven't seen the Journal-Star's story about the consultant
that SP brought in last winter, go find it on their website, I think it
says VOLUMES about why SP had to go!
