Steve,

I don't totally disagree with the adage: "If he is going to change his mind,
maybe we don't need him". But to me, that applies to normal situations
where a guy just up and changes his mind (Josh Freeman?)

This is a situation where even though it kills me, I can't blame the kid for
reconsidering. He verbally agreed to come play for NE and Bill Callahan's
coaches. That situation has changed, therefore his commitment in my mind is
almost 'nullified'.

That and the story on Jonas is he's as good of a human being as he is a
football player. Keeps his nose clean, grades are good, leader on the team,
etc. If he were a 'marginal figure' with incredible talent it would bug me
less.

With all that, this is just part of changing coaches. This class they were
putting together was going to be DANG GOOD, especially if Trevor Robinson
would commit. But that's just part of the natural attrition you get with
the turmoil in Lincoln. Other teams seem to be having a field day
cherry-picking the NU recruits.

I just want my cake and eat it too! :)
