On the Callahan resigning vs fired argument:

According to the OWH, Callahan's buyout would be $3.125 million if fired
after the Colorado game.  In order to 'persuade' him to resign earlier, he
would have to be offered more than that, IMO in the $4 mil range.

Odds are pretty good Callahan will be here through the Colorado game.  OTOH,
if a big booster gets fed up enough...
