[Husker] Word from ohio unit

Yet another pipe dream from someone who knows someone who knows someone,
etc. Last week I posted a few 'Internet rumors' on here that were posted
by "credible sources" on other message boards, which I now regret, but
it's fascinating to see the different variations of the same crap. I
will never take anything I read on the particular board I saw last week
again seriously, no matter who posts it now.

There is absolutely no way Turner Gill would leave Buffalo right now to
be an assistant at Nebraska, unless they paid him a head coach type
salary, and I don't see that happening. And whether or not Pelini has
been contacted remains to be seen (I am sure he is well aware of the
situation and has been bugged about it regularly by fans, acquaintances,
etc.), but you can bet the important involved parties WILL NOT disclose
anything publically until after LSU plays it's final regular season
game, but more likely after the bowl game.

I can see a scenario where the staff is told the week before the
Colorado game they will be gone (this seems to give teams a 'boost' as
well, trying to win one for the outgoing coach) but the only way
anything happens before then is if Callahan resigns on his own (at least
publically) or asks Cosgrove or others to step down. Osborne would be a
fool to fire them all before the end of the season, after getting up and
telling everyone he was not going to make any changes until the end of
the season, and we all know Osborne is no fool. However, I don't believe
Osborne will fire anyone without having spoken to someone else about
filling the position first, but that's just my opinion.

And as much as Pelini would seem to be a good fit in Lincoln, fans
should be prepared to hear him say "thanks but no thanks" just in case
LSU has an opening.

And as I posted a few days ago, I believe the coaches at Kansas State
and Colorado are going to try to bury Nebraska, and really try to
embarrass them any way possible on the field in the next few weeks.
Believe it or not, as much as Texas is hated, I don't feel Mack Brown
will try it, but who knows. Nebraska never really whipped up on Texas
for 30 years like the other two schools. I just hope the players and
coaches have some way to prevent this from happening.

I had a dream last night Nebraska made it to a bowl game this season,
but then I woke up and Bill Callahan was in my room trying to set up my
laptop because he needed to write up some plays. I hate double
nightmares.

I'm still trying to find the "plausible sense" in Turner Gill giving up
a head coaching job that he is just starting to make good progress in to
come back as an assistant coach.

So you're resorting to logic to refute rumors?
