[Husker] positives to take away from today's game

Jon,
First of all, I agree that the next coach will have talent to work with -- especially if we can retain a major portion of the recruiting class.
But you contradict yourself. You said that we lose a lot of seniors on this team. OK. But then you state that Callahan didn't have talent when he took over. The current seniors were in the program when BC took over. So were last year's and the year's before, etc. So is BC starting FS recruits simply because they are seniors? Not likely. Furthermore, if there is so much talent in next year's team, why did BC go an anticpated 4-8? BC took over a team that went 10-3 the year before. Pelini (probably) will take over a team that went 4-8 (or similar), yet Bo will get more talent?
I agree.
Good luck on your next job Bill. (Implied but not stated: Don't let the door hit you in the a**).

We probably will finish 4-8.
The good news? Whomever our next coach is will have a lot of pretty decent
players to work with unlike Callahan when he took over.
The running backs are a pretty good set to begin with, Mendoza, Helu,
Castille, and Lucky.
This team is going to lose a lot of seniors, a lot of linebackers. Take
that for what it's worth.
We'll start over at quarterback. We have plenty of experienced, good
receivers who can catch the ball, and we have decent depth and size on our
offensive line.
Or would you throw them all away?
