As I recall, a number of years ago there were two graduate assistants
hired by Osborne:  Frank Solich and Steve Pederson.  One of them went on 
to become a full-time assistant coach at Nebraska, the other did not.  

Hmm, do you suppose that had ANYTHING to do with subsequent events?
