[Husker] Press Conference today

Although I don't like all the Internet "rumors", I have read some
interesting stuff today. To sum-

 

1-       Tom Osborne was seen having lunch with Perlman and get this,
BARRY SWITZER. No idea if wishbone salad dressing was used.

2-       Bill Callahan was informed already that he will not be retained
after the CU game.

 

And, probably the only one that even remotely rings true, Osborne will
take some sort of AD role while Dave Rimington is groomed for the
position. The Rimington news is new to me (at least in the last couple
days anyway)- I was aware of his work with Esiason, but I had no idea he
was even on the radar map for this.

 

What I definitely do know, is that I have been getting goosebumps on my
arms listening to this stuff (the facts anyway) as it develops. Although
I am not Nebraskan by birth, I feel sort of like a "satellite" Nebraskan
since I've followed the school's teams for over 25 years rather
fanatically. Hell I even broke up with a girlfriend because she wanted
me to go to her friends wedding on a day the Huskers played Utah State!

 

Anyway, I'm not sure I've ever known of a person more important right
now in my life than Tom Osborne. Sad, but not so sad I guess! I believe
he is down in Lincoln right now walking on water...
