[Husker] Pelini is GONE FOREVER

Bob, As someone who has had pointed disagreements with you, I
hope you'll cool off and change your response to something more
along the lines of "my crystal ball was a little cloudy". I
hope you'll continue to post.

As to your "final" post, I don't understand your animosity
towards Pelini. He was and probably is a little firey which
led him to do some things (e.g., in remarks to Snyder) that
may have been inappropriate, but he seems held in very high
regard by those he coached, their families, and others he
worked with. Whether he would come here and whether or not he
would be a sucessful head coach, I don't know. That said, I'm
glad someone other than Steve Pederson will be evaluating the
football program and, if it should be decided to replace
Callahan, to lead the search for a new coach. I don't know
that Pederson's firing "proves" anything, but it improves
the administration in the athletic department going forward.

With respect to Husker fans, I've long agreed with you that there
isn't as much difference as we'd like to think. Hopefully,
having seen a little greater difficulty, fans will have learned
to be a little more patient and act more responsibility, but
you only have to read the insults (iin other forums, of course ;-)),
crazy rumors, and hare-brained suggestions to know that not
everyone is quite a model fan.
