[Husker] TO be or not TO be?

Just my opinion but I dont think TO would have to fire anyone as I believe that they have already been told that they are done at seasons end. Also a good reason for the four years for Osborne is that the new staff would have at least that long if not longer to turn things around and Tom would be gone if they had to be fired after that. And no other staff is in real trouble of being fired. Well maybe Anderson but I dont think he is in any real threat yet.

As you state TO likes the person to person relationships and I believe he would be respected by all the other coaches and would have a good working relationship with them. He would also bring in lots of money from boosters almost immediatly and I think he could bring Mr. Cook back into the family. Could anyone else do that?

Seems like good thought to me. Hiring is more fun than firing and TO does
not strike me as someone who enjoys firing people. Of course it is a lot
harder to do when you hired the person or have worked with them which would
make it easier in this case. If I am betting, TO would rather be an advisor
than taking on all sorts of responsibility like that plus all the other
athletic programs, the NCAA, etc. His joy seems to be in working with people
and the relationships, etc.

That was as clever as I could get with the subject line.

I was just thinking -- even though I kind of would like TO to be the next or
interim AD (I like the 4 year plan) -- I have a difficult time believing
that he would want to come in and fire the current FB coaching staff. Just
a thought.
