I believe that Perlman did say he extended the contract and that he had sent out emails to the entire athletic department staff to email any comments back to him and they would remain confidential, he got 2 back according to him, one positive and one negative.

I still don't think Perlman should go, but this is a reasonable 
question. I was not comfortable with the answer given for renewing 
Pederson's contract. Somebody approved it, and it's reasonable to know 
who that was. I don't buy the "I'm the last guy to know about this 
stuff" excuse.
