Don't take this wrong Kenneth, I'm not meaning to attack you, but there are
2 MAJOR flaws in your argument.
1) HP is pretty widely considered to be one of the top chancellors in the
U.S. Chancellors ONLY involvement in football is hiring of an AD. From an
education and overall university progress, he is one of the best. If NU was
stupid enough to fire him, he'd have a job at another top university quicker
than you can say, "Pedey Shine".
2) The notion that we must have 'Heritage Husker' has always confused me. I
think it would be a definite bonus if that person has Husker ties, but
really we need the BEST MAN FOR THE JOB, regardless of whether or not he has
Husker ties. Just for the record, Pedey was definitely one of those 'Husker
Ties' guys, and that didn't work out that well.
Don't get me wrong, I'd love a coach who understands Nebraska, but I'd also
like a coach that has class and runs a clean program that is very successful
regardless where he's from.
