I'm not fan of Pederson -- but why does everyone think it was his ego
that has caused these problems and not just a bad decision/mistake?  

1)  Solich was 9-3 with a revamped coaching staff.  Firing someone with
that record is arrogant because you think you can find some one better.

2)  He specifically chose someone that ran a completely different
offense and was going to install it hell or high water.  NU's first
losing season in my lifetime.

3)  He actually stated NU football needed to change offensively to
compete.

4)  He signed Callahan to a contract extension just recently after he
hadn't even reached the level from where he was given the team.
