[Husker] How bad is it?

Funny thing here.

Steve Peterson is a Nebraska Alum. He's been associated with this program for a long time. He did go to Pittsburgh for awhile, but his dream was always to come back to Nebraska.

Bo Pelini coached one season at Nebraska. He has had no ties either before or since his year as the DC.

Monte Kiffin was an assistant coach here from 1967-1976...part of that time as the DC. I can't remember seeing weekly posts on how his defenses have been doing with the Buccaneers.

Warren Powers was an assistant coach from 1969-1976. He left and became the HC at Missouri. I don't ever remember seeing positive posts on him.

Why is it that some folks tie Pelini to the Husker tradition?
Why do folks want Peterson to leave, because he doesn't know the tradition?

I'm not being facetious here. I don't like the program the way it is right now. I think that the coaching staff should be replaced. I'm just not sure I understand the ties that some folks feel to certain previous coaches, without recognizing others.

Just my thoughts on this subject.
