Here's what you tell them.

"I'm not going to give you guys some speech about coming back in the 
second half. I'm not going to tell you you're going to win this game. 

But what I will say is this. You have to go out now and play for 
yourselves and you have to play with pride. You cannot quit because if any 
of you quit everyone else will know that you've quit and they'll have the 
excuse to quit. And then everything will come apart. Your your parents, 
your family, and your friends are watching and they don't want to see that 
happens. I cannot do that for you. it's up to you guys on the field." 

And when I went home my wife will stop me when I walk in the door and say: 


"Wrong speech. That was three weeks ago." 

And like most wives, she'd be right.
