I remember watching an NU-OU game about a dozen years ago when the 'Huskers completely demolished the Sooners by about 70 points. It was painful to watch since I, like many of you, had so much respect for the tradition of Oklahoma football. Well, we are obviously on the other side of such a contest and it's even more painful.
What do you tell the players when the team is losing 38-0 at home to an unranked opponent? And people thought last week's game was ugly! The second-half has started and the team appears to have a little more fire on offense. As we have heard so much the last few weeks, it will be interesting to see how the rest of this season plays out and what changes take place off the field afterwords. I will listen to every play as I have done virtually every game for the last 35 years.
Regards,
Al Shanmugam
