In the OWH print addition of the article where Chase is quoted there was also a quote from Potter, our starting DE. I dont have it in front of me but he basicly said, We practiced the 3 man front all week and it would have been too difficult to switch in the middle of the game. Even though our base defense is the 4-3 it would have been too difficult to swithc. What the heck? We cant switch to our base defense in the middle if the game? What are we teaching these kids. Or are the players just that dumb? (I dont think they are). I have seen Jr. High teams switch defenses in the middle of a game.
