you mentioned that it might not be fair to put too much weight on this game, but your last sentence tells why it is so important.  Of NU's remaining games, this might be the only game in which the Huskers are favored (unless things turn around).  If we can't win the games where we are favored, we probably won't win those we are not favored.

It is imperative that NU win (and I am not sure they can the way they have been playing) as a statement that we can turn things around.

  I read today that some of the players consider this week a pivotal week, maybe the biggest game of these players' lives considering the circumstances. I hate to pin all that on one game, but I tend to agree in this case. If Nebraska comes out and lays an egg at home this week, things will implode. If, on the other hand they play inspired football for 60 minutes it could have a great impact on the rest of the season. I know Vegas is all for money, but the fact that this team is only a 4 point favorite at home this week worries me tremendously.
